Types of employees eligible for the scheme
You can claim for employees on any type of employment contract, including full-time, part-time, agency, flexible or zero-hour contracts. Grants under the scheme are not counted as 'access to public funds', and you can furlough employees on all categories of visa.

All employers with a UK bank account and UK Pay As You Earn (PAYE) scheme can claim the grant. You do not need to have previously claimed for an employee before the 30 October 2020 to claim for periods from 1 November 2020.

There are different groups of employees that are eligible for the scheme as follows:
1. If your employee is on a fixed term contract
2. If you employ apprentices
3. If your employee is a supply teacher
4. If you have new employees on the payroll
5. Employee transfers under TUPE and on a change of ownership
6. If an employee has more than one job
