Building Your Business
Save the Date for Border Bizcamp 2014

7 August 2014

PLATO EBR is Calling anyone with an interest in business – keep the date free for BorderBizcamp 2014.  You are invited to come along and join other like-minded business people on Saturday the 13th of September for the third BorderBizcamp.  The venue this year is MIFET at the impressive Monaghan Education Campus on the Armagh Road, Monaghan.

Key to keeping the whole event free to participants, are this year’s main sponsors Local Enterprise Office- Monaghan and PLATO EBR - the networking and business development programme which is part financed by the European Union’s INTERREG IVA Cross Border Programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

BorderBizcamp is business conference with a difference, being organised by business people for the benefit of other businesses people, with the aspiration of injecting some energy and can-do attitude into the business community along the border.  This year’s theme borrows its title from a Talking Heads track “Lady Don't Mind', :

"I'm Not Lost, But I Don't Know Where I Am".

  • the idea being that we're getting back on our feet, so now what?  We have an opportunity to go in a new direction.

As in previous years, the uniqueness of the event comes from the variety and diversity of speakers who will be present on the day bringing an expanse of business experience, knowledge and how-to to attendees at the event.  Some of those confirmed so far are Mark Hurley of Mudge, Cera Ward - Google, Shane Martin -  Moodwatchers and Niall Harbison of Lovindublin.com.  These are just some of the 22 speakers who will be contributing on the day. More details of speakers will be announced on www.borderbizcamp.com as they are confirmed and details of how to register can also be found there.

“We are really excited to be delivering another event of this calibre and creating a fantastically inspiring day focussed on the possibilities of business” said Ruth Daly, one of the organisers. There is a limit on the capacity at the event and so everyone who wishes to attend must register on-line.”
