Border Bizcamp is back!

An impressive list of speakers are lined up and Border Bizcamp promises to be a fantastic event with inspirational and expert talks being held throughout the day.  The event takes place on Saturday 8 June and runs from 9.15am to 4.30pm at the M:TEK Building, Armagh Road, Monaghan.


Speakers include:

Gary Vaynerchuk

By live link from the US, the impassioned co-founder and CEO of a social media brand consulting agency, video blogger, co-owner and director of operations of a wine retail store, and an author and public speaker on the subjects of social media, brand building and e-commerce.

Neven Maguire

Neven trained in some of the highest profile restaurants in the world.  When he is not cooking, authoring book (at least 9 so far) doing demonstrations, making TV programmes,  teaching, being a Daddy, he is constantly experimenting, re-inventing, creating,  innovating and celebrating food.

Una Fox

Coming to Border Bizcamp by Skype.  Una is a VP in the Walt Disney Company Corporate Technology group. Una joined Disney in 2008 and has a specific focus on online marketing technologies, Brand Management and Customer Business Intelligence.

She runs the LA Coder Dojo and is passionate about getting more girls into technology.


George Mordaunt

George is MD of the Mordaunt Group (retail motor dealership).  During 2004 and 2007 the Mordaunt Group expanded rapidly and within 12 months of completing the expansion the entire organisation started to collapse as a result of the global financial disaster.  Following the success of his first book about this challenging time, “Shepherd’s Pie”, George set up Insight a service to support business people in all aspects of their businesses. George’s second book “Back in the Driving Seat”, which is described as a guide to recovery to ensure business survival, has just been released in April.


Susan Hayes – The Positive Economist

Susan is a successful individual trader, a financial trainer and a speaker.  Dubbed the “Positive Economist”, she regularly contributes to national and international media, including The Sunday Times (Malta), RTE, Newstalk and Today FM (Ireland). She talks about matters relating to economics, the stock market, banking, entrepreneurship, business growth and finance. 

Niall Harbinson

Niall an entrepreneur who founded Simply Zesty in 2009 in his spare bedroom with €10,000 in start-up capital, and developed it to a global digital agency which he sold 3 years later to UTV.

The objective of the event is to connect business people together, to share knowledge and to raise the energy of business along the border.
