PLATO visits Uform's state-of-the-art factory in Magherafelt

Eamon Donnelly welcomed the PLATO attendees to the Uform site on the outskirts of Magherafelt.  Eamon briefly outlined some of Uform’s recent developments and headline figures and ambitions for the next phase of growth. Eamon has devoted 37 years of his life to the kitchen industry and much of Uform’s £40M turnover today Eamon accredits to a clearly defined strategy and vision fuelled with a capable team of people who are helping to continually drive the business forward.

Gary Hutton, Uform’s long-time Operations Manager, accompanied PLATO companies on the tour demonstrating Uform’s commitment to serving the customer excellence every time. The tour commenced in the sales department where Gary outlined the ordering process and how the company strives to provide quality customer experiences. On the factory floor, PLATO companies were able to observe first-hand the value of LEAN Manufacturing principles, the importance of staff communication and what can only be described as the “art of spraying.” The precision employed by the skilled operators at Uform and the huge investment of the company in the latest automated technology assists the company in meetings the growing demand for Uform products and services. Gary said “We provide to customer specification and rely on years of experience to get it right”.
