PLATO EBR Group Gets Underway in Drogheda

20 September 2013

In County Louth, another PLATO EBR Group was set up this week in Drogheda, welcoming fifteen companies from diverse industry sectors to the PLATO EBR Programme.  The companies are from a diverse range of industry sectors including professional services, environmental, engineering, digital media and medical devices. The programme offers owner managers a business support forum where they can network and discuss business ideas with peers and established large ‘parent’ companies in the region. These ‘parent’ companies are leaders in their industry sectors, and support the programme by sharing their skills and experience within the network.  PLATO EBR is delighted to have both Glen Dimplex and National Pen on board to support the Drogheda group.

Attendees were officially welcomed by Director of PLATO EBR, Dr Cecilia Hegarty. Cecilia provided an overview of support participants could expect to receive and encouraged participants to enjoy the newness of their 12-month Programme ahead.  Damien O’Brien, group co-ordinator also gave an insight into the actual workings of the PLATO Group and some light reading and homework!

PLATO EBR is funded through the European Union’s INTERREG IVA Cross Border Programme.  Anyone interested in finding out more about the Drogheda group or others operating in the East Border Region should contact the PLATO EBR team on info@platoebr.com or telephone +353 (0) 47 819 75.
