PLATO EBR Business Forum Gets Underway in Newry area

Monday 8th September saw the start of a Business Forum, this time in the establishment of Crash Services Ltd, Newry. PLATO EBR now has 15 groups operational across the East Border Region each been made up of up to fifteen SME and Micro businesses at diverse stages of their growth lifecycle.

The Managing Director of Crash Services Ltd; Mr Michael McKeown is the group leader and he outlined the merits in local and cross territorial coming together to share their collective knowledge and experiences. 

Dermot O Doherty is the appointed group co-ordinator and has a wealth of experience in mentoring small growth companies. Dermot emphasised the importance of being an active member of the influential network that is PLATO and for the group to capitalise on the opportunities being made available to them.

Ms Eilín Connolly, Network Manager encouraged all group members to be open and ambitious to learn and to enjoy the opportunity of taking time from their business to work on the strategic direction of their respective businesses.

The Forum is made up of graduates from the wider Plato group network and some additional “new entrants” from established businesses. Companies participating in the Forum include Around Noon, Newry; BMS Chartered Accountants, Navan; Acumed Clinic, Warrenpoint; Bell Media, Dundalk; Viking Marketing Solutions, Laytown; AJC security, Warrenpoint; DRS & Associates, Slane; Polkadot Foods, Newry; Shindig Energy Drinks, Newry; and The White Orchid, Meath with five others waiting to join.
