PLATO EBR Announces Site Visit Programme Summer 2017

PLATO EBR in conjunction with PLATO participant and leader companies launches its 2017 Site Visit Programme around the region.

During the 2017 programme, PLATO members will have the opportunity to attend 7 different sites during the months of May and June. These sites are a combination of different industry sectors, with varying levels of factory investment, and stage of development from Glen Dimplex plant (formerly Seagoe Technologies) in Seagoe, Portadown developed in the early 60s, to Combilift's sparkling steel structure investment of over €40Million, still undergoing completion.

The hosts have kindly agreed to give the PLATO members who are growth-oriented companies from the region, a behind the scenes look at their bricks and mortar setting explaining their growth journey - when and how to expand and scale.

The company has gained numerous export and management awards and having invested circa €40million is opening its new factory doors in April 2017.

Employing over 100 staff working from a 6-acre site, Wilsons hold key accounts with leading food retailers. Recent R&D activity for cooked dressed products.

Baked with Love A family run bakery which very recently developed a gluten-free factory. The company provides a range of baked produce to serve the several chain stores on the island including Super Valu. The company is one of Ireland’s fastest growing start-ups and has received numerous accolades and was recently identified in Ireland’s top 100 start-ups.

Now manufacturing a wide range of products for the roofing, cladding, engineering and construction sector in Ireland/UK based on a 20,000 m2 site located just off the M1, ideally located for distribution nationwide and cross channel. Numerous large projects e.g. National Indoor Arena.

From humble beginnings, the Celtic Pure brand is now the largest independently owned and offers a complete range of bottled water to the retail, food service and wholesale sectors from the UK and Ireland. Its state-of-the-art bottling plant is close to the original family spring which produces 100m bottles a year, recent machinery investment of €7m alone.
