Louth-Meath PLATO Cluster kicks off in Glen Dimplex Ireland

20 September 2017

The second PLATO EBR Joint Networks for 2017-18 kicked off yesterday in Glen Dimplex, Dunleer. The Joint Louth-Meath Cluster is composed of companies new to the PLATO network, all aspiring to grow their companies with the support of an outside board of directors of like-minded individuals.

This Louth-Meath Group is composed of civil engineering, manufacturing (food), technology/digital, health and professional coaching services. The companies are all located within the Louth and Meath Council areas. On Wednesday 20th September at 8am, the group met in the parent company premises, R&D Division of Glen Dimplex, Dunleer.

Facilitating the group is Joe Hughes Technical Director, Glen Dimplex Group and Michael Farrell, Senior Partner with PKF-FPM both of whom are longstanding Plato Leader Companies in the East Border Region.

Participant companies had the opportunity to present their own individual company growth trajectories and their aspirations for their 10-month Programme.

Dr Cecilia Hegarty said “she was delighted to have both Joe and Michael on board. No doubt participant companies will benefit throughout the course of the Programme from their experience and perspective but also they will be able to contrast that of a home-grown family business (PKF-FPM) turned international to that of a multi-national such is Joe’s experience in Glen Dimplex, Dunleer.”

At the first meeting, participants were also introduced to the PLATO Model, Programme Structures and Partners. Cecilia said, “This PLATO Cluster should allow companies to realise their full potential over the next 10-months by holding participant companies accountable for their ongoing decision-making to better inform the strategic growth of the company.”

More information to appear shortly on participant companies.
