Planned and managed by the County Council's Local Enterprise Office, Local Enterprise Week takes place from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th March. It is the time of year when the Local Enterprise Offices invite business owners, managers and anyone thinking of starting a business to join them for a host of free educational and networking events.

Friday 6th March 10:00  How DkIT can support Entrepreneurs, Start Ups and SMEs: Learn about the supports available from the Regional Development Centre at DkIT. RDC, Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Date: 06/03/2020  Time: 9.30am to 5pm This ‘Food Starter Programme' is a short two day programme (second day on 20th March) designed to help those with a food idea, or those at a very early stage of starting up a food business (typically the first 24 months). The objective of the 2 days is to provide the participants with a base knowledge of what is involved in setting up a food business. The content is designed to provide you with information which will allow you to avoid the pit falls normally associated with this journey. While certain aspects of the programme are relevant to those setting up cafes/restaurants, the core programme content is designed for those producing food to be sold through third parties i.e. food producers.

Venue: Cavan Innovation & Technology Centre, Dublin Road, Cavan Date:12/03/2020 Note:2 x day workshop with follow up 1-1 clinic Time:10.00am - 4.00pm The aim of this course is to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of basic accounting principles as well as a comprehensive working knowledge of their obligations to Revenue.
