Founder/owner of the company JP McCann was a past participant on the previous PLATO Blackwater Initiative back in the late 1990s and PLATO EBR is delighted to welcome him back as a Group Leader to guide and advise the participant companies on their 12-month Programme. JP from Armatile gave a brief presentation on his company story. “I soon discovered that I wanted to make something for myself not just sell something”, …I roped by wife (a nurse) in at the start and we grew it from there. Armatile is now an industry leader in its field from very humble beginnings, we are passionate about what we do, we pride our customer service and have a great team of people - the right people in the company to take the company forward”.

Longstanding PLATO Leader for the Region Lewis Cunningham, MD of Wilson’s Country will also act as a Group Leader for this Group sharing the trials and tribulations of their own growth journey over the years. In fact, Wilson’s Country will host the first PLATO Site Tour of the 2017-18 Programme in the morning of 12th October 2017 in Portadown. Interested PLATO members should email for details, early booking essential.

Dr Cecilia Hegarty, Director of PLATO EBR, wished the group well in their exciting new programme ahead and encouraged all members to commit the time to develop their company and their own management capability through the structured programme of meetings, any site visits and additional training. Dr Hegarty said, "This network grouping is composed of a diverse range of industry sectors from manufacturing to service, and the members all have interesting backgrounds managing businesses in various stages of growth and development”.
