Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur 2015

If you are aged between 18 and 30 with an outstanding idea/commercial venture for a start-up or existing business then you should enter the IBYE Competition. Almost any young person with a business/business idea can enter this competition. It doesn’t matter what your background is. Maybe you have been to University and researched a business idea, maybe you have always wanted to be your own boss, maybe you want to work for yourself, maybe you have an idea to improve your existing business or maybe you want to return home and set up your business in Ireland? It doesn’t matter what you want to do all that matters is you have a good business idea that works. The IBYE competition is a national competition to find Ireland’s best young entrepreneur. Applying is simple and there is a €2 million investment fund and targeted business supports on offer to help you turn your business idea into a reality.

The Monaghan-Meath-Louth-Cavan Regional entrants for 2015 are well underway. Having undergone an intensive Bootcamp and undertaken mentoring clinic sessions, this year’s entrants are currently undergoing ion to represent their county.

Monaghan County has already ed its three representatives:-

Lisa-Marie Clinton, Avail – Start-up Category

Mark Kelly, – Established

Dr Cecilia Hegarty, Director of PLATO EBR commented on behalf of the Judging Panel, “The The panel felt the overall quality of pitches this year was excellent, it is encouraging to know there is a stock of business ideas with great development potential in County Monaghan. The Local Enterprise Office is excited about the opportunity to work with all the Award nominees going forward irrespective of the outcome of the competition. The judges deliberated long and hard over the decisions in all award categories which is a credit to all entrants for making our decision so difficult.” Dr Hegarty continued, whilst there can only be 3 winners, the Judging Panel wanted to congratulate all award nominees on how they represented their business and their county in IBYE 2015.
